ABOUT
A dynamic young theatre company, Shadow Road Productions followed up their debut production - a double bill of comedies Joining the Club by David Tristram and Time Flies by David Ives - with A Countdown to Christmas, an original festive show, in order to raise some money to help fund their third production, Oswald's Return. This hilarious new play has been written by Guy van der Westhuizen and is due to be staged in September 2009.
Founded by children's writer Emma King-Farlow, Shadow Road aims to provide a platform for creative experimentation and exploration, offering its audiences a diet of cheer and chills, intrigue and amazement, enjoyment and, above all, entertainment. We hope to tackle the quirky and offbeat, bringing lesser known and often unexpected works to the stage in new and exciting ways.
We kicked off with comedy but our future plans include, among other works, a couple of creepy chillers, a radio play that has been inventively adapted for the stage, and more than one thought-provoking drama. We also intend to bring to life some great new writing, as well as crafting a certain amount of our own!
